Timothy, who worked at the Naples Airport in Southwest Florida, stole $18,700 in cash in 17 separate incidents.

“Evidence collected during the investigation indicated that Timothy was surreptitiously stealing cash from arriving international passengers during border security inspections and currency checks as part of his official duties as a CBP officer at the Naples airport,” Justice Department officials said in a statement. news release.

As part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, Timothy was ordered to pay full restitution to the passengers he accused of theft and agreed to resign immediately.
