The U.S. Olympic women’s 3×3 team appeared to have been dealt another blow for the second straight night as Atlanta Dream star Rhyne Howard missed Wednesday night’s game against the Minnesota Lynx.
Howard, who led the team in scoring with 15.4 points per game, left the game in the third quarter with a lower leg injury.

Atlanta head coach Tanisha Wright said Howard will be re-evaluated on Thursday.
Howard is the second member of the U.S. Olympic women’s 3×3 team to fall in two days. Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink took a fall on the court Tuesday night.
The Sparks announced Wednesday that the Stanford freshman has torn her anterior cruciate ligament, which will likely sideline her for the rest of the season and will definitely keep her out of the Olympics.

Only two players on the roster are healthy: TCU guard Hailey Van Lith and former Tennessee star Sierra Burdick. Stephanie Dolson, Alisha Gray, Jackie Young and Kelsey Plumb helped the U.S. win the gold medal in Tokyo.
Plumb and Young are both members of the U.S. Olympic women’s 5-on-5 team.
It’s unclear who the U.S. will replace Howard and Brink, with several names being mentioned including Aaliyah Boston, Dearika Hambly and Betnijah Laney Hamilton.
