Ahead of the debate in Atlanta, CNN reports that Trump plans to hold a campaign rally in Philadelphia, where Biden has already visited several times this year in an attempt to replicate his 2020 win in Pennsylvania.
The debate, moderated by CNN hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, will last about 90 minutes with two commercial breaks.
This is the first of two scheduled showdowns between the candidates, the second of which will be hosted by ABC News on September 10th.
The Biden campaign had previously said debates between the president and Trump would only take place in June and September, and without spectators.
