Audi officially unveiled the new e-tron GT sedan this week.
The Germany-based automaker, owned by Volkswagen AG, said on Tuesday:[d] Updates to the e-tron GT lineup improve the sporty vehicles’ range, performance, charging and handling.

The lineup currently consists of the Audi S e-tron GT, RS e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT Performance, with the last of the three being the “first fully electric RS performance model” and, thanks to its incredible horsepower, Audi says it is “the most powerful production car Audi has ever built.”
“Increased charging power and electric all-wheel drive provide greater long-range capability and significantly improved performance.” Audi CEO Gernot Dorner This was stated in a news release.

The new RS e-tron GT Performance is the most expensive model, starting at 160,500 euros (approx. $172,000), while the RS e-tron GT starts at 147,500 euros (approx. $158,150). For the S e-tron FT, the starting price is 126,000 euros (approx. $135,100).

According to Car and Driver, the company has started taking orders for the model in Europe and plans to start accepting orders in the U.S. in the coming months.

The Audi RS e-tron GT Performance will produce a whopping 912 horsepower, while the automaker claims the RS e-tron GT will produce 845 horsepower and the S e-tron GT will produce 670 horsepower.
Both RS models can reach a top speed of 155 mph.

Audi said the new e-tron GT model’s battery “can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes at high-power charging stations,” giving the car a range of 280 kilometers (about 174 miles) on a 10-minute charge.
The new model looks different from its predecessor as it comes with various changes on the exterior and interior.

Inside, for example, the new model will feature “redesigned seats, steering wheel, entrance sills and digital content,” Audi said.
The virtual cockpit in the new Audi e-tron GT variant displays battery temperature and charging-related data to the driver.
Audi says owners will also get a “panoramic glass roof” that can be adjusted for transparency “at the touch of a button.”
