Climate change protesters were seen storming the 18th green and spraying red smoke during the PGA Tour’s Travelers Championship in Connecticut on Sunday.
Video footage Posts TWO-X showed protesters wearing white shirts reading “Don’t play golf on a dead planet” storming onto the green as Scottie Scheffler was finishing up his play.
South Korean professional golfer Tom Kim was trailing Scheffler by one stroke, but was out-kicked. report Kim “hit her approach shot close,” sending the tournament into a playoff.
As Kim and Scheffler waited to make “their” putts, climate change protesters swarmed the green.

Police officers can be seen quickly rushing onto the lawn and shoving protesters to the ground.
As protesters were pinned down on the grass by police, cheers and chants of “USA! USA!” could be heard from the crowd.
Other people in the crowd heard Boos and chants of “Get out you son of a bitch!”

After protesters were escorted off the green by police, tournament officials moved to another area on the green due to the smoke spray. Kim “hit one of the greatest putts of all time,” while Scheffler missed a putt that would have won the tournament, according to the outlet.
