Biden to hold post-debate rally in North Carolina with Fat Joe, E-40

In his first campaign event since the presidential debate, President Biden is scheduled to hold a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday with celebrities Fat Joe and E-40.

The president left the CNN debate in Atlanta and headed to North Carolina for a rally that campaign officials described as “Biden riding high.” [his] He won a decisive victory over Donald Trump in the first presidential debate.”

He will be joined at the rally by artist Fat Joe and musician E-40, who will each perform in front of a crowd, as will North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper (D) and Attorney General Josh Stein (D).

President Trump has already visited North Carolina three times this term, a state that former President Donald Trump won in 2020. The Biden campaign is eyeing the state as a tipping point from Republicans to Democrats this term.

Also on Friday, Vice President Harris is scheduled to campaign in Las Vegas.

Nevada, which Biden won in 2020, is a key battleground state for him to win again this election. Biden and Harris are focusing on Black and Latino voters, key voting demographics, during their campaign on Friday.

Thursday night’s debate was described by some of Biden’s supporters as a “nightmare” for the Democratic Party and Biden’s performance as “political suicide.” Some Democratic activists and political commentators have even suggested talks are underway about Biden stepping down before the November election.

The president’s voice was horse-like and he started off slowly, stuttering over sentences and slurring his responses. The White House attributed the slow start to a cold.
