On Thursday night, the nation saw President Joe Biden at his best — and it couldn’t have been any worse.
He stuttered and stumbled, struggled to get his point across, and came off looking weaker and more incompetent than ever.
“Joe Biden was set up to give the best performance he could tonight. They locked him down at Camp David for seven days and they were doing everything they could to give him the best performance he could tonight, and this is the result,” Jill Savage said.
“Clearly, President Biden was at times disorganized, rambling and incoherent,” he added. Blaze TV Contributor Delano Squires added that Trump has surprised him in a good way: He is “energetic but disciplined” and “even as President Biden first fizzled out, [Trump] “They could have easily referenced ‘Sleepy Joe’ or something, but they didn’t.”
The debate’s moderators, CNN’s Dana Bash and Jake Tapper, also pleasantly surprised Squires.
“They actually did what most people want from a journalist: ask a question and have the other person answer it,” he told Gill and Blaze Media editor-in-chief Matthew Peterson. “They didn’t make themselves the stars of the show.”
For Peterson, “we have “It’s to underscore Trump’s discipline.”
“He showed a discipline that most people find rare,” he said, adding that at times Trump “[felt] Not good for [Biden].”
