A Delta Airlines flight from Detroit, Michigan to Amsterdam, Netherlands, was forced to land in New York after passengers were served spoiled food, according to Delta Airlines officials.
The flight landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens around 4 a.m. Wednesday after “reports that some of the food in the main cabin was spoiled,” a Delta spokesman said. Said in statement To ABC News.

A Port Authority of New York and New Jersey official told the media that 14 of the 277 passengers and 10 crew members required medical treatment when the plane landed, but no one was hospitalized.
The exact number of people who ate the spoiled food is unclear.

“This is not Delta’s specialty and we sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and travel delays caused,” a Delta spokesperson said, adding that the incident was under investigation by the airline.
The Port Authority, which operates John F. Kennedy Airport, said passengers would be provided with overnight accommodations and rebooked on other flights.
