Officials with the Volusia County Beach Safety Department (VCBS) confirmed to Fox News Digital that a 14-year-old boy was bitten on the leg by a shark during a lifeguard training camp in Florida on Monday morning.
Authorities said a 14-year-old boy was in the water at Ponce Inlet, a beach just north of the pier, when he was bitten on his right calf about 11:15 a.m. Monday.
VCBS officials said the boy was attending a junior lifeguard camp.
