A novice passenger made a costly mistake at an airport in eastern China when he opened an emergency door on a plane, thinking it was a toilet.
Air China Flight 2754 was waiting to take off from Quzhou airport in Zhejiang province on Thursday night when a woman who said she had never flown before went to the rear of the plane and Open emergency exit Because the crew didn’t notice South China Morning Post report.
Another passenger, who only gave his name as Mr Chen, told the media that flight attendants were “surprised” when the escape slide jutted out the side of the plane.
Photos taken by onlookers from the airport showed a large slide deployed on the runway.

As a result, the plane was grounded and passengers were paid 400 yuan ($55) in compensation plus a night’s accommodation.
The Hong Kong-based media outlet also noted that activating the emergency escape system could cost up to $28,000.
“The female passenger was in tears when she heard she had to pay compensation,” Chen said.
Police questioned the passenger who opened the door, but authorities have not released her identity and it is unclear whether she will face charges.
