San Antonio police officer Mark Castillo llegedly sent racy texts to married woman while working as chief’s body guard

A veteran Texas police officer is accused of sending explicit photos of himself to a married woman while on guard duty for the police chief, and the woman’s husband was furious when he found out.

San Antonio Police Officer Mark Castillo is accused of sending lewd messages between his regular working hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for about a month, from late April through May 22.

Castillo, a 23-year veteran of the police department, was a member of Chief William McManus’ security force and would often alert his girlfriend, real estate agent Laura Cisneros, when the chief was in the area. KSAT reported.

The security team’s duties include driving McManus, who was appointed San Antonio’s police chief in 2006, to meetings and events and providing on-site security.

The explicit text messages were only discovered when Cisneros’ husband, Arturo, was using her phone and caught her sexting.

Arturo knew Castillo through his wife’s acquaintance and had met him several times at city council meetings and at a Mexican restaurant near where McManus worked.

After confiding his sexual desires to Laura, Castillo allegedly told her to delete the messages to avoid getting caught, then told her the chief was on the move.

“Well, I wish I could. [censored] “Take it slow,” the officer said in a series of text messages obtained by the outlet.

“Stop it. And you’re really trying to get me in trouble. My computer is open and they keep watching for you to come out,” Laura said.

“OK, make sure you delete the message. TTYL,” Castillo said, adding that he considered the chief “stepping down.”

“It’s right near your house,” he said, before asking Laura to come over to the restaurant.

“i’m starving.”

Other messages showed officers ogling Laura in various ways.

“You always look good and smell good,” Castillo said. “No, I just love being alone with you. I love touching you.”

Castillo also spoke about sex techniques that differ from flirtation in the digital world.

“You want me now, not later?” Castillo asked. Laura replied, “Yeah, sure.”

“Oh, shit…. Yes.”

In separate messages, Castillo and Laura shared their wishes for each other.

“Mmm, I wish I could touch you slowly,” Castillo said.

“So… I’m waiting in line in my car, and my car is idling, literally. [censored] “I was just thinking about you,” the woman said.

Laura Cisneros and Castillo never had sex, but the two had been flirting in the car, Cisneros told the outlet.

She subsequently ended the relationship.

When Arturo Cisneros discovered the messages, he questioned his wife about the source of the mysterious text messages.

“Hey, who’s this Mark Castillo guy?” Arturo Cisneros said.

“I knew something was wrong so I ran into the bedroom and locked the door,” he added.

Cisneros began reading through a month’s worth of text messages as his wife of 33 years pleaded for his phone back.

Cisneros told the outlet that the sexual text messages had become more explicit in the days before he discovered them.

After reading the disturbing message, the frustrated man shared his discovery with his family and then called 911 to report his wife and Officer Castillo having an affair.

Between the time the call was made and the officers’ arrival at the home, Cisneros’ brother and sister-in-law showed up to the house, but his wife had left without her cell phone.

According to SAPD incident reports, Arturo Cisneros reported the affair to police but did not mention Castillo, and the story differs significantly from what Cisneros, his brother and his wife told police.

According to the report, Arturo Cisneros told dispatchers that he ran away from the house after his wife hit him, then returned to ask police for a facial examination.

The report also said Laura told police that Arturo Cisneros “reached behind his back” before hitting his wife.

The media outlet said the report has been refuted by the couple and Arturo’s brother and sister-in-law, who say it is not an accurate account of what happened.

Arturo was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, a misdemeanor.

Patricia Cisneros took nearly 50 photos of the disturbing text messages before handing her phone over to police so they could “collect specific timestamp information from the messages.”

At the time of his arrest, Arturo Cisneros was serving an eight-year sentence for aggravated assault during the arrest of a public official in 2016 and had 16 months left on probation.

In an earlier incident, Arturo Cisneros was derisively asked by a Blanco County sheriff’s deputy to retrieve his “broken gun” — a .22-caliber rifle — and fired it into the ground to prove it still worked.

Arturo Cisneros’ lawyers claim their client’s arrest was in retaliation for exposing Castillo’s affair.

“They wanted to protect Mark Castillo so they could make it easier to arrest my client. The police report states my client is at risk of going to prison,” Carolyn Wentland said.

Wentland said Arturo Cisneros could face 10 years in prison if his probation is revoked.
