Video from former President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday shows rally-goers spotting the suspect on a roof just before the gunfight began.
“Don’t go there.”
according to CNNThe video, taken by a rally attendee, includes audio of several people raising the alarm about a possible shooter.
“He’s got a gun!” several witnesses yelled.
“He’s on the roof,” one rally attendee warned.
Just seconds later, three consecutive gunshots can be heard on the video, followed by six rapid shots.
according to ABC News“The gunman fired as many as eight bullets from an AR-style rifle,” Blaze News previously reported.
“He’s on the roof,” rally attendees chanted after the gunfire stopped, according to the video.
“Don’t go there,” he continued. “He’s on the roof.”
The suspect was shot and killed by the U.S. Secret Service.
Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe CNN To discuss the attempted assassination of the former president, McCabe said in his speech that it was “astonishing” that the building the suspect was in was accessible to the public. Reports suggest the suspect was located about 130 yards from the rally’s stage.
McCabe estimated that law enforcement would identify a suspect “within hours,” The Post reported. hill.
of New York Post On Saturday evening, the suspect was identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, police reported.
