‘He Truly Loved Us Enough to Take a Real Bullet for Us’

Allison Comperatore, the daughter of a man killed during an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, spoke out Sunday, describing her father as a man of God who loved Jesus “passionately” and “loved us so much that he would take a real bullet for us.”

“Time stood still yesterday,” Allison Comperatore wrote in a Facebook post, describing the “real-life nightmare” that unfolded before her eyes at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday night.

She said she knows the media will report on the incident, but she wants everyone to know “what they won’t report or say” about her father, Corey Comperatore.

She described her father as “the best father a girl could ever ask for.”

“My sister and I had no problems with anything. We would call and he would pick up and do whatever we needed and even if we didn’t know how to do it, he’d figure it out,” she said.

“He could talk to anyone and befriend anyone, and he did so all day yesterday, and enjoyed every moment of it. He was a man of God, loved Jesus passionately and cared about our church and its believers like family,” she said, adding that the media “will not say he died as a real-life superhero.”

“They won’t tell you how quickly he threw me and my mother to the ground. They won’t tell you that he shielded me from the bullets that were coming towards us,” she wrote. “He loved his family. He loved us so much that he would have taken an actual bullet for us.”

“And I just want to cry to my dad and say thank you and just wake up and hope that this isn’t real for me and my family,” she said, describing her father as a “selfless” and “loving” man.

“I will continue to think of and mourn my father until the day I die,” she said, expressing her deep love for her father.

GoFundMe Former President Donald Trump endorsedhas already raised more than $1.5 million for the victims of this tragedy.
