Dmitry Melhorn, a top political adviser to Democratic megadonor and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, reportedly urged “sympathetic journalists” to consider the possibility that the shooting of former President Donald Trump was “staged.”
The email sent to a “sympathetic journalist” read: SemaphoresMelhorn writes:
…One “possibility” seems frightening, alien, and absurd in America, but is extremely common around the world. They say the “shooting” was encouraged and perhaps staged so Trump could get the photos and benefit from the backlash. This is a classic Russian tactic, such as when Putin came to power in 1999 by killing 300 civilians and blaming it on terrorists. Other countries that have employed this tactic of committing blatant evil and then profiting from the backlash include Hamas on October 7. If anyone in the Trump administration encouraged or knew about this attack, it is morally appalling, and decent Republicans should demand that Trump resign as unfit for office.” [Emphasis added]
Melhorn suggested another possibility for Saturday’s shooting was that “in this chaotic situation, some crazy anti-Trump person decided to try to assassinate the former president.”
A top political adviser to Mr. Hoffman, who co-founded the Invest in America fund with the co-founder of LinkedIn, suggested his theory was closer to false flag theory, which is “military action carried out with the intent of incriminating a hostile nation.” according to According to BBC News, experts USA Today Conspiracy theorists regularly Exploitation A term that claims that major events were fabricated.
Melhorn calls the shooting a “classic [Vladimir] “Putin drama.”

“See the actual shot. See the staging. See how prepared Trump is for a rally. This spoiled baby soiled his pants when an eagle swoops on the bait. See how quickly Trump tries to protect himself at the expense of others, yet shows little of the instincts he has had throughout his life in this moment. And consider how often Putin and his cohorts play this show,” Hoffman wrote.
“I know it’s unpleasant to discuss such a possibility, but in this case the odds are so high and the stakes so high;[k] “That question,” he added.
Melhorn pressed further, challenging the media’s failure to pose the question, writing, “Ask the question, folks. If it turns out to be false, we should respond appropriately to acts of political violence that were not orchestrated, as outlined above. But your credibility and our entire system of truth and justice depend on you being sure of the answer.”

Mehlhorn is not the only one making controversial claims.
Speaking at a billionaires’ conference in Sun Valley, Idaho last week, Hoffman said he had made Trump a “real martyr”. He later spoke of “accountability to the rule of law” and made it clear he was “horrified and saddened” by the attack.
Hoffman has also reportedly visited the island of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and is one of the Democratic Party’s largest donors.
He helped run a secret organization known as the Good Information Foundation along with left-wing billionaire George Soros, and is accused of election interference.
Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow wrote:
He has since established himself as a megadonor to the Democratic Party, but his activities have been largely hidden from public view. He is one of the key architects of the modern political infrastructure that has shaped the current American landscape by allowing the super-rich to use non-profit organizations and lax disclosure laws to make large political donations in relative obscurity. Strategically, he embraces both the disloyal and the critical, and the Chinese Communist Party. [Emphasis added]

But Hoffman’s questionable political activities don’t end there. Hoffman also works directly with Communist China.
