Monty Python’s John Cleese has slammed the NRA in response to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
Cleese posted on X:
I’m just waiting for the NRA to explain that guns don’t fuel mass shootings.

The suspect, 20 years old, was armed with an AR-15 style rifle. Mentioned There are 28,144,000 such rifles in circulation, but of those more than 28 million guns, only one has been used in such a heinous manner.
Sadly, Cleese wasn’t the only one trying to shift the blame from the shooter to the gun.
For example, Breitbart News reported that Tennessee Sen. London Lamar (Democrat) said he hoped the assassination attempt would persuade Republicans to support gun control, and author Stephen King used the assassination attempt to mock Republicans for refusing to work toward banning AR-15 rifles.
