Star Wars Actor Mark Hamill poked fun at former President Donald Trump on the first night of the Republican National Convention on Monday, joking that Trump had an ear bandage over a wound he sustained after Saturday’s assassination attempt.
Mark Hamill responded with a vulgar comment on X’s post, describing the bandage as “ridiculously oversized” and suggesting that it was just for show and that “it didn’t seem necessary until tonight.”
First appearance of the ridiculously oversized ear bandages. Apparently I didn’t need them until tonight. 👂 pic.twitter.com/Fkc83h3jBN

Hamill’s assessment “wasn’t necessary until tonight” appears to be based on video footage that emerged the day after the assassination attempt of Trump at the Bedminster club. In the unverified footage, Trump is seen from a considerable distance away, with his injured ear out of view.
Trump attended the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Monday night, Breitbart News reported.
With a white gauze bandage over his ear, Trump walked out of the venue and pumped his fist as the crowd chanted “Fight, fight, fight” — a nod to the words he shouted to a crowd in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, shortly after surviving an assassination attempt.
