Ryan Seacrest has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the first day of filming for Wheel of Fortune.
Seacrest, 49, replaces Pat Sajak, who hosted the iconic game show for more than four decades.
“A glimpse into our first day at @wheeloffortune and still spinning with excitement!” Seacrest captioned the video he shared on social media.
The TV personality held up her “wild” card while taking a selfie on the first day.
Pat Sajak’s next job will be with “as is” reputation: “He’s always going to be in the spotlight.”

“My heart is beating fast. I’m so excited,” Seacrest admitted. Later in the video, he revealed, “I was so excited last night I couldn’t sleep. I slept OK, but I was still so excited for my alarm to go off.”
The TV personality noted that the wheels are actually “smaller than you’d think,” before joking, “Me too.”
At one point, Seacrest stood next to a cardboard cutout of Sajak and said, “Who’s taller?”
“Yes,” he replied for the audience. “It’s shocking.”

Sajak officially handed over hosting reins to Seacrest in June.
“Okay, this is the last one, Ryan,” Sajak told the new host in a promotional video shared by Wheel of Fortune.
“I think the most fun part will be meeting the players and getting to know the home crowd,” Sajak told Seacrest.

“Wheel of Fortune” announced that Seacrest will replace Sajak as host in June 2023.
“I am truly honored to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital at the time. “Like all of America, it has been an honor and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna (White) on television for an unprecedented 40 years. I had a smile on my face every night and felt right at home in their company.”
“Pat, I love the way you’ve always celebrated your contestants and made your viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to all I can learn from you during this transition period.”

In a statement, Seacrest called the new hosting job a “full circle moment.” Vana White continues: On the show.
“Not many people know this, but one of my first jobs was hosting a little game show called ‘Click’ with Merv Griffin 25 years ago, so this is truly a full circle moment for me and I’m grateful to Sony for this opportunity,” he explained. “I can’t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the roulette wheel and work alongside the great Vanna White.”

The final episode of Sajak aired on June 7, almost a year after He made the announcement on June 12, 2023. He’s leaving the game show, with the legendary host returning to “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” on October 7 for his final farewell.
What’s next for Sajak? He will appear in the play “Prescription: Murder,” which will run from July 31, 2025 to August 10, 2025.
Sajak plays a psychiatrist who, after conspiring with his lover to murder his wife, is pursued relentlessly by an unassuming LAPD lieutenant, played by Hawaiian news anchor Joe Moore at the Hawaii Theatre Center in Honolulu.
