(NEXSTAR) – The attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump is weighing heavily on the Republican National Convention currently underway in Milwaukee.
The moments immediately following the attack were also unforgettable around the world, with a viral video showing Trump, blood coming from his ears and his fist raised, being escorted off the stage by security personnel going viral online.
The shirts printed with these images are Fast arrival in ChinaBut it didn’t immediately reach the thousands of delegates and guests attending the Republican National Convention.
The concession stand is overflowing with merchandise featuring Trump’s face, including shirts, pins, hats and even a charcuterie board with his silhouette.
But it took until Wednesday morning for shirts bearing the undeniably iconic photo of Trump with his fist raised and blood visible to appear at a merch stand outside Milwaukee’s Baird Center.
There were two options on display, one black and one white. The black shirt features a Secret Service agent with his fist raised high leading a march through a fluttering American flag, with the words “TRUMP 2024” written underneath the image. The white shirt features just Trump with his fist raised high, with the words “Fight! Fight! Fight!” and a fluttering American flag.
They were running fast too.
One RNC volunteer told Nexstar that just minutes earlier, another guest had bought every single one of the medium-sized white shirts.
But it’s unclear where the photos came from. News agencies including the Associated Press and Getty have placed warnings on several photos of Trump being escorted off the stage, advising them not to be used in political campaigns or for commercial purposes.
The shirts that were still available were selling for $50 each as of Wednesday.
