BUTLER, Pa. — The FBI said it has conducted 200 interviews and reviewed 14,000 images but still doesn’t have a clear motive for the attempted assassination of former President Trump at a campaign rally in western Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., a member of the House Oversight Committee, told Fox News Digital that he thinks it’s “bullshit” that federal investigators don’t yet have a motive.
“I don’t believe they have anything,” Burchett said Wednesday. “I don’t trust this administration. If they don’t want conspiracy theories, they need to act fast and answer the tough questions.”
According to a post on Oversight Committee X, Burchett said he had sent a subpoena to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who agreed to comply with it. A hearing is scheduled for July 22.
