An analysis of the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump, conducted less than a week ago, has revealed numerous failures by the Secret Service team tasked with securing the rally and protecting the former president from danger.
Jason Buttrill, a senior researcher and writer for Glenn Beck and a former Pentagon intelligence analyst, said:[worked] “Alongside the Secret Service” reveals the glaring flaws in a failed defense operation.
Secret Service Scandal: Experts Expose Shocking Security FailuresYoutube
“What happened on Saturday is nearly impossible to repeat,” Jason tells Glenn.
According to standard protocol, “Secret Service [goes] Preparations must be made several weeks in advance “to develop a multi-layered security plan,” which would include thorough screening of the first three tiers of people in front of the area where the protected persons will stand.
“They identify threats at greater distances,” Jason said. “They identify potential sniper positions… up to 1,000 yards away.”
However, Thomas Matthew Crooks fired from “130 yards” away, a location that Jason asserts “must have been identified” before the rally.
Additionally, for each potential sniper position, “local law enforcement will be guarding the area to ensure no one has access to it.”
“There are multiple questions to ask here,” Jason says.
“Did the Secret Service know about this entire complex plan and then assign the sniper locations?”
Assuming they secured sniper positions, “did law enforcement adequately staff those positions?”
“That’s not what we saw in the video,” Jason said, adding that it was “people in cars following close by” who spotted the shooter and called police to report his location.
Glenn also brings up the fact that the Secret Service team covering the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally repeatedly stated that the rooftop where the gunman opened fire “was not part of the secured area.”
“The excuse that they were outside of a secured area is completely ridiculous,” Jason said, adding that he had personally witnessed the lengths the Secret Service will go to to ensure security.
But there’s one more question that needs answering — the one Jason calls “the scariest.”
“Did the shooter receive any assistance?”
Jason is not the first to ask this question: Dallas Alexander, the world record holder for the longest confirmed sniper kill, has publicly professed his belief that this was, in fact, an “inside job.”
“Do you think that’s a realistic possibility?” Glenn asks Jason.
