‘Best and most qualified candidate’

Alex Soros, son of George Soros and heir to his liberal empire, quickly endorsed Kamala Harris as the next President of the United States after President Biden withdrew from the election.

“It’s time for us all to unite behind Kamala Harris and defeat Donald Trump,” Alex Soros said in a social media post.

“She is the best and most qualified candidate we have. Long live the American Dream.”

The endorsement comes after President Biden announced Sunday that he was withdrawing from the presidential race and would instead endorse running mate Trump.

Alex Soros, 38, wields considerable influence within the Democratic Party thanks to his billionaire father’s large contributions to the party and other left-leaning causes. Since the 1970s, Soros has founded the Open Society Foundations, a charitable organization.

Alex Soros had previously endorsed Biden amid growing calls for the 81-year-old to drop out of the presidential race.

He praised Biden on Sunday after he withdrew from the 2024 presidential election that would have been a rematch against former President Donald Trump.

“Joe Biden is a patriot who has always worked to unite America and for the dignity and well-being of all Americans,” Soros wrote.

“He accomplished more in four years than most people dream of accomplishing in eight years. He will be remembered as an American hero, because that’s exactly what he is.”

Soros quietly became engaged to Huma Abedin, the ex-wife of former Congressman Anthony Weiner, earlier this year. Page Six first reported the news this month.

Abedin is a longtime confidant of 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
