Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy wrote on social media that even if Vice President Kamala Harris had been given the opportunity to run alongside a candidate from another party before President Biden dropped out of the presidential race, she would not have been the Democrats’ preferred choice.
“If Joe Biden had to withdraw before the Democratic primary and run against another candidate, Kamala would never have been the nominee,” Portnoy said in a post on X. “The people who control Joe also control Kamala and have destroyed our democracy with pure election fraud and theft.”
Biden shocked the nation on Sunday by announcing he was withdrawing from the 2024 race and endorsing Harris as the Democratic leader.

“Serving as President has been the greatest honor of my life, and while I intended to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and our country for me to step down and focus on fulfilling the duties of my presidency for the remainder of my term,” Biden said in a statement., before endorsing Harris in another post.
In a video posted to X, Portnoy called Biden a “lettuce head” and a “vegetable” and said anyone with “two eyes and a brain” could see that Democrats “slammed Joe when the establishment sent him for that election.” Debate with Trump“

“[Biden] “This has been going on for years and Democrats have covered it up, and they’re thinking, well, he’s not going to beat Trump, so we’ve got to put somebody else in his place,” Portnoy continued. “They’ve waited this long, so what they’re going to do now is they can basically pick who’s going to replace him.”
“They’re basically trying to hijack our democracy by not letting people vote,” he added.
Portnoy also expressed disbelief in California Governor Gavin Newsom’s electoral chances, calling him a “despicable person.”

Portnoy added that whether the endorsement is made by Harris, Newsom or Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, “the bottom line is the same”: “A select few have decided to choose their own presidential candidate rather than have the public vote for them.”
“This is madness and it’s calculated,” he added. “He resigns. Democratic Party They’re saying he’s unfit… but he’ll still be president. He’s still president. He still has the keys to the nuclear weapons. [He’s] not qualified to run for president [but is] “He’s being kicked out of the party. Nobody trusts him, and yet he’s the president.”
