Former President Trump is scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago on Friday.
The meeting is scheduled to take place during Netanyahu’s visit to the US, where he will first visit Washington DC, address Congress on Wednesday and hold a bilateral meeting with President Biden on Thursday afternoon, after which he and Biden will meet with the families of Americans held hostage by Hamas.
Netanyahu’s visit comes amid the war between Israel and Hamas following the Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist attacks.
“I look forward to hosting Bibi Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida,” Republican presidential candidate Trump posted on his Truth Social account.

“During my first term, we had peace and stability in the region, and we signed the historic Abraham Accords, and we will have that again,” Trump continued. “As I have said in my discussions with President Zelensky and other world leaders in recent weeks, my ‘Peace Through Strength’ agenda will show the world that these horrific, deadly wars and violent conflicts must end.”

In 2018, the Trump administration moved the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a move long debated in Washington and marking U.S. official recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Under Trump, he recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, withdrew the United States from the UN Human Rights Council and brokered the Abraham Accords.
The Abraham Accords were a historic peace agreement between Israel and the UAE that normalized relations between the two countries and resulted in bilateral agreements on “investment, tourism, direct flights, security, communications, technology, energy, healthcare, culture, environment, the establishment of reciprocal embassies, and other areas of mutual interest.”
Netanyahu is also due to address parliament on Wednesday, having received an invitation from cross-party leaders of both houses of Congress in May.
