A vote for Kamala Harris in November would be a vote to support four more years of President Joe Biden’s failed policies, said Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, the Republican vice presidential nominee. The Charlie Kirk Show on wednesday.
“I think you have to make a substantive argument that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s policies have failed for this country, and she’s going to reinforce that. She’s actually much more liberal than Joe Biden,” Vance said. Said“So do we want four years that are even worse than the last four years? Or do we want four years of President Trump’s leadership from 2016 to 2020? That’s not a stark contrast. We just need to have the debate.”
On Sunday, President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, despite Harris’ record of losing the 2020 election and having lower approval ratings than the 81-year-old president. Charlie Kirk asked Vance if the possibility of Harris emerging as the top Democratic candidate has changed the race “from a messaging or tactical standpoint,” noting that Harris seems “much more radical” and “totally unconcerned about open borders and the suffering of native-born people, particularly in the Rust Belt, who are suffering from opioid overdoses.”
“The contrast couldn’t be clearer, and it hasn’t changed. The issues couldn’t be clearer, and it hasn’t changed,” Vance replied.
“And frankly, the only person who’s as responsible as Joe Biden for Joe Biden’s failed track record is the vice president. So Kamala Harris can’t escape that track record either. It’s a bad track record,” he continued.
He further explained:
And we need to constantly remind people that she failed as vice president. Her administration has led to rising prices for everything from groceries to housing, an open southern border, a drug crisis, and we need new leadership. No matter which Democratic representative they want to put at the top of the list, we need to shift gears from a policy perspective, and I think that argument will lead to our victory.
Kirk noted that left-wing media and Democrats have been working hard to portray Harris as “particularly moderate on immigration issues.” Indeed, fact-checkers have been monitoring claims that Harris was appointed “Secretary for Border Affairs” under the Biden administration, but even before that, mainstream media had been promoting her role, specifically calling her “Secretary for Border Affairs.”
As Breitbart News reported, then-Senator Kamala Harris had pledged to support decriminalizing illegal immigration and providing free health care to undocumented immigrants.Harris, who was a candidate in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, has overseen the passage of more than 11 million migrants at the U.S. border under Biden’s administration.
“Her record on immigration would make Bernie Sanders blush,” Kirk joked.

“The idea of allowing thousands, maybe millions, of illegal immigrants into the country, many of whom have committed crimes in their own countries, and giving them tax-funded benefits, is something that absolutely sickens people,” Vance said.
He continued:
… It means that we’re going to make the border crisis, which is already causing a lot of suffering, even worse. The two biggest problems are … the border and the economy. And the two are obviously closely linked, because when you add 20 million illegal immigrants, your housing costs go up, your food costs go up, your emergency room wait times go up.
“Kamala Harris is promising to let more illegal immigrants in and give them more welfare,” he said. “She’s going to make worse everything that’s been wrong with the Biden economy over the last few years. We have to fix this.”
