Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to a special joint session of Congress on Wednesday, calling it the “worst” speech ever given to Congress by a foreign leader.
Pelosi boycotted the speech, did not listen to it or watch the dozens of standing ovations Netanyahu received from both parties, and instead released a statement online that amounted to tearing up the speech.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech on the House of Representatives floor today was the worst speech ever given by a foreign dignitary invited and given the honor of speaking to the U.S. Congress.
Many of us who love Israel have spent time listening to Israeli music today…

Pelosi maintained that she “loves” Israel and that Netanyahu would be better off taking his time to work out a “cease-fire agreement,” never mind that Hamas rejects any deal or that former hostages and their families were accompanying Netanyahu.
Pelosi’s response to Netanyahu contrasted with the warm welcome she gave to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who spoke to Congress.

She continued to promise Ukraine whatever was necessary to achieve “victory.”
In a powerful speech, Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Congress for its support against Hamas terrorists and other Iranian proxies, reminded lawmakers that “our fight is your fight” and said the United States has a stake in Israel’s complete victory.
