Joe Burrow has three-word reason for his drastic hair change

Joe Burrow was overcome with boredom.

The Bengals star quarterback, who made his first training camp appearance on Tuesday with a bleach blonde hairstyle, described his new look in just three words.

“I got bored,” Burrows, 27, said during a media availability after practice on Wednesday.

Bengals defensive tackle BJ Hill may be next to show off a new look.

Burrow, who normally sports condom-style hair, explained that he made a bet with his teammates.

“BJ said if I cut my hair and bleach it, he would too.” Barrow’s Description“So he’s got to get it done within the next week and everybody has to hold him accountable.”

“And if he doesn’t, then it’s up to the fans and the media to hold him accountable, so I’m counting on you guys.”

Burrow’s buzzer generated a lot of shock and laughter on social media.

Comparisons with Eminem in the early 2000s WWE Champion Cody RhodesFans and the NFL are in an uproar, including comments from his own team.

“Guess who’s back,” the BengalsX account wrote alongside a photo of Burrow, referencing Eminem’s 2000 hit “Without Me.”

“I think it’s probably just temporary,” Barrow added. “I’m going to let my hair grow out and see what it feels like. It’s going to feel a little bit frozen at the ends. I don’t know. We’ll see.”

It remains to be seen if the hairstyle will last the entire season, but this isn’t the first time the 2020 No. 1 overall draft pick has sported a platinum buzz cut.

According to the Cincinnati EnquirerThe man known for years as “Joe Cool” also sported a similar hairstyle while playing football at Athens High School in Ohio.

Clearly, he’s a man with his own style.

Cincinnati star receiver and Burrow’s former LSU teammate, Ja’Marr Chase, also made a dashing appearance at training camp sporting a fresh cut.

The wide receiver also ditched his famous braids and sported a shaved head to match the QB’s, with just a touch of bleach.

The cut for Burrow is no surprise, as he is one of the NFL’s most stylish stars.

After the Bengals qualified for the 2022 Super Bowl for the third time in franchise history, the quarterback wore a black turtleneck and a diamond “JB9” chain and told reporters he can’t wear fake diamonds because “I make too much money.”
