Vice President Kamala Harris has promoted transgender ideas for two decades, according to the pro-trans news site Slate.
“Her record is clear: Harris has been a strong, progressive advocate for transgender rights for two decades,” Slate said. I have written July 29. “She started this work long before it became central to national politics.”
The site quotes transgender advocate Shannon Minter.
She’s not just an ally; she’s a long-standing, staunch, committed, and informed ally. … She has used her position and influence time and time again to bolster organizational and public support for our community. She has always worked to get others on our side and to increase our numbers. And that’s the best kind of ally we have. have.
that Long-standing and consistent Support is an issue for Harris. In Video And it’s becoming increasingly unpopular.
Transgenderism advocates for the government to subordinate public recognition of the biological differences between the sexes and enforce instead individuals’ assertion that they are members of the opposite sex.
Many progressives and liberals are eager to defend transgender people as a victimized minority.
But the vast majority of Americans want laws and social norms to recognize the different needs of the two sexes, which are equal, different and complementary. For example, a January poll found that 77 percent of Americans said politicians are using transgenderism to distract voters from important political fights.
For example, Harris has advocated for legislation that would allow men in prison to undergo taxpayer-funded cosmetic surgery to make them look less masculine.

Her support for transgenderism ties into the ongoing uproar over its mainstreaming in all parts of society, from the Olympics to prisons.
For example, on July 31st, Ruduxx report On a trans man transferred to a California women’s prison:
A transgender man convicted of brutally murdering his wife has been quietly transferred to a women’s prison in California. Kia Anderson, 57, was a self-described “bisexual cross-dresser” who was 41 when he was convicted in 2009 of strangling his wife after she tried to end their relationship.
…
when [sic] It’s unclear when Kier was officially transferred to a women’s prison, but it likely happened after California’s SB-132 went into effect in January 2021. Also known as the Transgender Respect, Agency, and Dignity Act, the bill formally established the right of inmates in California to be housed based on their gender identity.
Since the law came into effect, 334 male inmates have applied for transfer to women’s prisons, and 46 have been approved. Keeping prisons singleFully one-third of the male prisoners requesting such transfers were registered sex offenders.
Similarly, Harris’ representatives allowed a man falsely identifying himself as a transgender woman to attend her “Women for Kamala” fundraiser.

Harris also lobbied California to pass a law that would eliminate a defense commonly asserted by defendants charged with killing transgender people after intimacy. Defense lawyers in one case cited the anger and embarrassment of a defendant who learned the transgender victim’s true gender during an intimate encounter.
Slate reported:
Harris convened a two-day national conference to discuss ways to counter the “gay panic” defense, bringing together law enforcement officials, academics, activists, and even the prosecutors and defense lawyers from Araujo’s case. Minter was in attendance, and recalls being “surprised” that Harris made an effort to address not only the “gay panic” defense in general, but also its application to transgender victims.
“When it comes to transgender issues, her record has been remarkably consistent,” Slate concluded.
Harris’ family is also pro-transgender.
