A video has emerged showing a high-speed police chase in Los Angeles that ended in a dramatic crash.
Footage captured by a Fox 11 Los Angeles helicopter on Thursday showed the vehicle traveling more than 80 mph on a city street before passing through an intersection in the Koreatown neighborhood and striking the SUV.
The SUV spun before crashing into a building and coming to a stop, and the pursuing vehicle was seen to have crashed into a tree shortly after the impact.
The occupant of that vehicle then fled on foot, running toward a residential building.

As many as three people allegedly involved in the pursuit were eventually taken into custody by police, according to Fox 11 Los Angeles.
The police pursuit began following an armed robbery, the station reported.

“They were approached while inside or outside their vehicle and the suspect pointed some type of firearm at them and took some of their belongings, we believe it was a wallet or purse and possibly a cell phone,” said Sergeant Luis Zamorano with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, the vehicle involved in the pursuit is believed to have been stolen.

The station also reported that police recovered a rifle at the scene of the crash.
