Mariah Carey is the proud parent of 13-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, with ex-husband Nick Cannon.
In a rare interview, Carrie, 55, said her adorable teenage children don’t have the “evil” personalities she had growing up.
“I love my kids so much,” the pop singer told E! News. “They’re really good kids. I don’t think they’re bad or evil like I do. They’re so smart and funny. And I’m a mom.”
Nick Cannon believes God told him he would be the ‘father of many children’ and claims he had a ‘vision’
Mariah Carey has revealed just how different her teenage twins Monroe and Moroccan are from her.
Moroccan and Monroe are Cannon’s eldest children. He has 10 younger children with five other women.
The “Always Be My Baby” singer went on to share her thoughts on being a mother of teenage twins.
“Am I mean? No,” Carrie said. “Am I generous? Maybe, because I don’t want to be like the shady person in the crowd that people don’t want to be around.”

Carey revealed that the twins supported her during a recent performance in Las Vegas.
“They wanted to come see the show the other night,” she added, “but… I didn’t know if they actually wanted to come or if someone just said so. You never know!”

In 2022, the self-proclaimed “Queen of Christmas” revealed how her “messy” childhood inspired her to find Christmas joy.
In an interview with W magazine, the pop icon revealed the story behind the creation of the popular Christmas classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
“The idea to do a Christmas album came from the record company,” Carey explained.

“It was very early in my career and I thought it was a little early for me to do that, but I was like, ‘Well, I love Christmas.’ I had some very sad Christmases as a kid, but I always try to find the bright spot in it.”
The six-time Grammy Award winner told the outlet that she wrote the 1994 hit while staying up late one night playing on the keyboard and pacing around the home she once shared with ex-husband Tommy Mottola.

“I didn’t want it to feel specific to a particular era, so I didn’t use any sounds that were popular at the time,” she explained, “which makes it feel classic and timeless.”
“But I never imagined it would become such a big part of my life.”
