Donald Trump says he agreed to debate Kamala Harris on Fox News in September

Donald Trump announced late on Friday night that he has accepted an offer from Fox News to debate Kamala Harris in September.

The former president Authentic Social Posts The debate will take place in Pennsylvania on September 4 and will be moderated by Fox News hosts Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.

It is unclear whether the vice president has agreed to the Fox News debate. The Washington Post has reached out to her campaign for comment.

Harris had hoped that President Trump would take part in the Sept. 10 ABC News debate that was originally scheduled to feature President Trump and President Biden.

The former president had previously agreed to debate ABC News, but after Biden dropped out of the race and Harris became the Democratic presidential nominee, Trump complained the debate was “not fair.”

President Trump also argued Friday that his ongoing lawsuit against ABC and host George Stephanopoulos creates a “conflict of interest” with the network.

“I spent hundreds of millions of dollars, time and effort fighting Joe, then when I won the debate they threw a new candidate into the ring. It’s unfair, but that’s the way it is! But different candidates, their bad policies are the same and this will be clearly evident in the September 4th debate,” Trump denounced in a Truth Social post.

He said the “rules will be similar to those for the Sleepy Joe debate,” but this time it will feature a “full arena audience” at a venue to be announced at a later date.

The Trump campaign had previously said it would not finalize debate plans until Harris was officially nominated as the Democratic candidate.

Harris won enough votes Friday to secure the nomination, despite never winning a primary election.

Trump bragged about his victory over President Biden for weeks after Biden’s abysmal performance in the June debates, ultimately sparking a movement within the Democratic Party to remove the 81-year-old from the running.

At a campaign event on Tuesday, Harris publicly criticized Trump for declining to participate in the Sept. 10 debate.

“What’s interesting is that he’s not doing the debates, yet he and his running mate seemed to have a lot to say about me,” she said.

“I really hope you all will think again and see me on the debate stage, because as the saying goes, ‘If you have something to say, say it to my face!'” she added, to loud cheers from the audience.
