Man threatened to shoot Chiefs players at Morgan Wallen concert attended by Mahomes, Kelce: cops

An Illinois man was arrested after making a “terroristic threat” to shoot and kill two Kansas City Chiefs team members during a Morgan Wallen concert at Arrowhead Stadium, where the country music singer also performed, along with team stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, authorities said.

Aaron Brown of Winchester made the threat on social media ahead of Warren’s show. The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officials did not identify the two men, but Chiefs quarterback Mahomes and tight end Kelce were in attendance. Joining the country star on stage.

Kansas City police were monitoring threats at Arrowhead on Friday night and saw a threat from the X-account “Gooey Bag” directed at two NFL players “who were in attendance at the event.”

The threatening note, redacted in the indictment, read: ” [redacted] I’m at Arrowhead with my wife. If he takes me out [redacted] or [redacted] “I’ll shoot you, you bastard!”

“And you bitch!! (double finger emoji) @[redacted]He added, according to the lawsuit.

Patrick Mahomes Pregnant wife, Brittany Mahomesalso attended the show.

Police tracked down Brown’s information through his X account and called his cell phone, Brown voluntarily told police he was at the stadium and what section he was sitting in, and police eventually tracked down him and his girlfriend.

When confronted about the tweet, he told police: “It was a stupid, stupid, stupid mistake.”

Authorities said the threat caused the concert to be delayed by about 40 minutes.

Brown was charged with second-degree terroristic threatening and his bail was set at $15,000.

Video from the concert showed Warren, Kelce and Mahomes onstage together.

Warren wore the No. 7 jersey for the Kansas City Chiefs. His high school baseball uniform number — Worn by the team’s kicker, Harrison Butker.

Butker came under fire earlier this year for making misogynistic remarks.
