Donald Trump Jr. hits ‘border czar’ Harris in new Fox News op-ed

In a new op-ed, Donald Trump Jr. criticized Vice President Harris’ role in the Biden administration’s immigration policy, calling her a “border czar.”

Trump Jr. said in the article: Published by Fox NewsHe accused Democrats of “putting America at the bottom” by opening the border to immigrants, dismantling the electoral system and “accepting the foreign vote.”

“Biden’s VP pick for the border, Harris, has let the American people down with her disastrous performance on the border,” he wrote.

Trump claimed Harris had not spoken to the head of the Border Patrol and had only visited the US-Mexico border “many years ago.”

As Harris prepares to challenge former President Biden in this fall’s general election, Republicans are seeking to criticize her for her role in the Biden administration and the immigration crisis that has plagued the U.S. during her time in the White House.

A major thrust of Trump’s op-ed was that illegal immigrants will vote in US elections. While the White House argues that foreigners rarely break the law by voting, Republicans have stuck to the idea that the influx of immigrants arriving at the southern border correlates with election security.

“If the Biden-Harris Administration claims this is a small problem, I have no choice but to believe it is a big problem. But either way, shouldn’t we be doing everything we can to resolve this issue that could jeopardize the election?” Trump wrote.

He claimed that “the Democrats have a clear plan to allow foreign nationals to vote.” Trump urged voters to vote for his father because he would “do everything in his power to stop foreign nationals from voting.”

“From day one, he’ll secure our border and make our elections secure. He’ll put America First every day. This is the ultimate fight for our country and we need you to join us,” he said. “We must overwhelmingly get the vote and protect it. No one can sit on the sidelines.”

The Hill has reached out to Harris for comment.
