RFK Jr says he was behind mystery of dead bear dumped in Central Park with bicycle | Robert F Kennedy Jr

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Strange Video In his indictment on Sunday, he confessed to dumping a dead bear cub in New York’s Central Park 10 years ago and arranging it to look like a bicyclist had run it over.

The video was apparently an attempt to counter an upcoming article in The New Yorker that he predicted would be a “bad story.”

In the video, Kennedy speaks with actress Roseanne Barr as she recounts a story of how she was on a falconry expedition in New York’s Hudson Valley when she came across a young bear that had been run over and killed by another driver.

In 2014, a female black bear was spotted in the brush by a dog during a mysterious downtown incident.

At the time, Florence Slatkin, who lives near the park, said her friend’s terrier had spotted something near her bike on the ground.

“At first I thought it was a bag of clothes or a dead dog,” she told The Associated Press.

However, on getting closer, they realized it was a very small bear with “its mouth wide open and scratches on its sides.”

When police arrived on scene, they found traumatic injuries on the bear’s body, but the cause of death was unknown and the investigation remained open until Sunday.

In the video, Kennedy says he picked up the bear’s carcass and loaded it into his van, intending to skin and eat it later, but he didn’t have time to take the bear home before catching his flight.

Taking advantage of the recent spate of bicycle accidents in New York, Kennedy said he and a group of people traveling with him, some of whom had been drinking, hatched a plan to use an old bicycle they happened to have in their van to place the bear’s carcass in Central Park and make it look like the bear had been hit by a bicycle.

“I thought it would be interesting for whoever discovered it,” Kennedy said.

“The next day it was on every TV station,” Kennedy told Barr. “I thought, ‘Oh my God, what have I done?'”

“I was concerned because there were prints of me all over the bike… Luckily the story died down after a while.”

After the New Yorker learned of Barr’s role in the case, he and Barr laughed. “It’s going to be a bad story,” Barr said.

It’s the latest bizarre incident in Kennedy’s fanciful campaign, dividing his famous family and raising concerns among Republicans and Democrats about his potential influence on the presidential race.

Other notable events included Kennedy admitting that he died from a parasite in his brain, and denying that he had eaten a dog after a friend shared with Vanity Fair a photo of Kennedy dramatically poised to take a bite of a charred animal, which Kennedy claimed was a goat.
