SIX ways the media is ABUSIVELY lying to America

The M3ND Project is an organization that provides resources for people caught up in abusive relationships.

Glenn Beck It is hard not to notice that many of the abuses they define are in fact the exact same ones inflicted on the American people by the media — specifically, the media’s inability to stop lying.

“Lying is one of the most common tactics abusers use to gain power and control over their victims,” Glenn reads from an article written by the M3ND Project. “Lying confuses the victim’s reality while also helping the liar avoid responsibility for the situation, often shifting the blame onto the victim.”

According to the M3ND project, lying increases the victim’s anxiety levels and “clouds their thinking.”

There are six types of lies that lead to emotional abuse: black lies, white lies, half-truths, broken promises, forgetting, and denial.

Black lies are “blatant lies” that abusers use to gain personal advantage at the expense of the person they have deceived.

White lies are smaller, explained as “more difficult to disprove and appear to be a distraction from reality.” Because white lies are harder to detect, they “are more manipulative.”

“I don’t know if you were reading an abusive website or an internal Democratic campaign strategy memo,” Stu told Glenn after Glenn had finished reading the rest of the abusive lies (half truths, broken promises, forgettable statements, denials).

“Politicians have always lied and told half-truths and so on,” Glenn said. “The difference now is that it’s not just about the politician. It’s about the whole system that surrounds the politician.”

The differences have become more apparent since Donald Trump ran for president almost a decade ago.

“I think the media, especially in the Trump era, is taking off their masks and saying, ‘We can no longer use this subtle power to tilt the vote a little bit to steer voters in the direction we want to see,'” Stu says.

“It’s right in front of our eyes, and a huge portion of the American people don’t see it because they don’t want to see it,” he added.
