‘Feel betrayed’: Top conservative group blasts vulnerable Dems on inflation in multimillion-dollar ad blitz

First appearance on FOXAmericans for Prosperity Action, the political arm of the powerful conservative network Koch, is launching a multimillion-dollar advertising offensive in battleground states to target vulnerable incumbent Senate Democrats and boost their Republican opponents ahead of the November election.

The influential conservative group is spending $5.75 million on advertising in Wisconsin, Montana, Nevada, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Montana Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy will receive $1 million in advertising to support his candidacy, as will Nevada Republican Senate candidate Sam Brown. Ohio Republican candidate Bernie Moreno, Pennsylvania Republican candidate Dave McCormick and Wisconsin Republican candidate Eric Hovde will each receive $1.25 million in advertising to support their candidacy.

The digital ads will also air on television in key battleground states.

The buyout is part of AFP Action’s “firewall strategy” to support candidates to thwart “one-party dominance by the Progressive Party”.

The ad campaign features 10 video ads, two in each state.

One of the Wisconsin ads, “Betrayed,” sees residents detail how the inflation-busting law passed under President Biden has let them down.

“Tammy Baldwin spent a trillion dollars on the Anti-Inflation Act. It didn’t help us,” Jackie B. said in her testimony.

“They gave fancy names to things they spend money on,” Dale G. added in the video.

“The situation is definitely getting worse. I feel betrayed,” Bobby S. said.

The ad, which premiered in Wisconsin, targets Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) and supports her opponent, Republican businessman Eric Hovde.

In a statement about the multi-state ad buy, AFP action director Nathan Nascimento said, “Voters are tired of Washington doubling down on failed policies and handing them the price for it. But that’s what every sitting senator has done during their time in office, and some have been doing it for decades. The pain is very real for Americans who are still undecided about who they’ll vote for in November, but their records make it clear that we can’t trust Senators Brown, Baldwin, Casey, Rosen and Tester to vote the right way when it comes to cutting inflationary spending or securing the border.”

“Every single one of these senators crucially supported the Biden-Harris Administration’s big-spending push that fueled inflation, and every single one of them put their party above their voters. And it’s Americans across the country who are paying the price. The last thing our country can afford is to send these senators back to Washington to continue the same failed policies.”

In a video criticizing Montana Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), David D. argued, “I’ve been in politics for 35 years, and we’re in a worse place than when you started.”

“Ohio families are struggling, and after 30 years, Sherrod Brown’s failed policies have caught up with us,” a narrator tells viewers in the ad, which criticizes Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio.

“Bernie Moreno and his special interests are attacking Sherrod to distract from Moreno’s history of not paying overtime to his employees and then getting a judge to throw out evidence in an attempt to get away from that case,” Brown campaign spokesman Matt Keyes told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“Sherrod is committed to reducing costs for Ohio workers, while Bernie Moreno is untrustworthy and only looks out for his own profits.”

“Career politician” Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) has come under fire for one of her Nevada ads, which includes footage promoting the IRA and claiming that “help is on the way.”

The Pennsylvania ad similarly targets Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), who voted for the IRA, with the narrator saying, “Bob Casey doesn’t work for Pennsylvania families.”

“Bob Casey is lowering the price of insulin and leading the fight against corporate greed and greedflation, while David McCormick defends the corporations that make profits while raising prices for middle-class families,” Casey spokeswoman Maddie McDaniel told Fox News Digital.

“David McCormick has the backing of the Koch family and Wall Street billionaires, while Bob Casey has the backing of Pennsylvania’s working people.”

The ads also promote the Republican candidates vying for each Senate seat, arguing that each offers a better solution for struggling families in their state.

The campaigns for Tester, Baldwin and Rosen did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital for comment.

AFP Action said it had reached more than 7.5 million voters so far this election cycle.
