MN National Guard Confirms VP Nom Tim Walz Official Bio Inflates Rank

Vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.)’s official biography exaggerates his military rank. Reports Just news.

“Governor Walz’s biography states that he served in the National Guard at a higher rank than he was when he retired after being automatically demoted for failing to meet required promotion requirements,” the report states.

Most condemnable is the news that Waltz “left the unit before deploying to Iraq.”

The Minnesota National Guard confirmed Wednesday that Gov. Tim Walz has been demoted and not retired as a sergeant major as he has long claimed. Governor’s biography.

Waltz briefly held the title of master sergeant but “was discharged as a sergeant in 2005 for benefits purposes after not completing additional coursework at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy,” Army Lt. Col. Kristen Auger, state public affairs officer for the Minnesota National Guard, told Just the News.

The state of Minnesota’s official website states that Waltz retired from the Minnesota National Guard as a “master sergeant” in 2005. However, this is not true. “He retired as a sergeant in 2005 for benefits purposes because he did not complete any additional coursework at the U.S. Army Sergeant Major Academy,” Lt. Col. Kristen Auger, state public affairs officer for the Minnesota National Guard, told Just the News.

[In] In early 2005, the battalion received orders to mobilize for duty in Iraq. Shortly thereafter, in May 2005, Waltz “resigned, leaving the 125th Field Artillery Battalion and its Soldiers in limbo and without their senior NCO as the battalion prepared for war.”[.]”

However, Waltz’s profile claims that he served in Iraq: Bloomberg told readers that Waltz “recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.”

Now Bloomberg has secretly edited out this clearly stolen act of courage. Take a closer look at this:

Here is the article Since 2007 Walz, then a member of Congress, exaggerated his status and spoke as if he had served in Iraq.

Rep. Waltz, who retired in 2005 as the command sergeant major of 1-125th Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, has personal memories with the Red Bulls. “I served alongside these Soldiers for many years and couldn’t be more proud of them. They endured long deployments with perseverance and determination, and their outstanding service record in Iraq speaks for itself. Today, all Minnesotans should be proud to call the Red Bulls our neighbors and friends.”

It’s no wonder that Walz is spreading lies about the Republican vice presidential nominee, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, who enlisted in the Marines after 9/11 and actually served in the Iraq War.
