Vice President Kamala Harris suggested Wednesday that she would be willing to negotiate an arms embargo against Israel in exchange for support for the so-called “unfettered” Muslim and Arab movement in Michigan.
of The New York Times report:
Before the rally in Detroit, Vice President Kamala Harris met briefly with co-founders of the Unfettered Citizens Movement, which mobilized tens of thousands of Michigan voters to refrain from voting for President Biden because of Israel’s support for the Gaza war earlier this year. Abbas Alawieh and Laila Elabed, who were in the welcoming procession for Harris and Governor Walz, said they told Harris they would like to support her but that their constituents want her to consider an arms embargo to immediately stop the carnage in the besieged enclave.
Harris heard from Michiganders who had lost dozens of family members in Gaza. The leaders asked to meet with her about the embargo request, and she agreed, introducing them to her staff.
Harris was later heckled by pro-Palestinian protesters during her speech.

Protesters, some wearing Muslim hijabs, chanted: “Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide. We will not vote for genocide.”

Ms Harris responded twice, first trying to calm the hecklers, saying their voices were welcome in a “democracy”, then scolding them, telling them they were out to help Mr Trump win.
In Detroit, Vice President Kamala Harris said this after protesters for the Palestinian cause interrupted her speech for the second time.

Harris sought to retain the support of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic wing of her party by declining to choose Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate, instead nominating Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (Democrat).
Not only is Shapiro Jewish, but he has also made strong pro-Israel statements in the past, which he belatedly tried to deny.
While Walz supports Israel, he also supports Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who is anti-Israel and anti-Semitic.
In 2019, he also reportedly attended Conference hosted by the radical Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) with anti-Semitic founders of Students for Palestine Justice:
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz spoke at a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) event in 2019 and interacted with anti-Semitic scholars who underpinned much of the Hamas propaganda on college campuses after October 7, photos from the event showed.
…
A photo from the conference shows Waltz posing with Hatem Bazian, a scholar of anti-Semitic ideology who has long advocated for anti-Israel terrorism. Bazian is the founder of Students for Justice in Palestine, the group that led many of the pro-Hamas and anti-Semitic rallies on college campuses following the October 7 attacks. The group’s George Washington University chapter ran a slogan “Glory to the Martyrs” in the days after the attacks. Bazian also founded American Muslims for Palestine, the parent organization of Students for Justice in Palestine, a prominent anti-Israel group currently under investigation in Virginia for allegedly funding terrorism.
…
Federal prosecutors classified CAIR as an unindicted co-conspirator of Hamas in a 2008 terrorism financing case. In 2017, Bazian Anti-Semitic memes “Look mom! I’ve been chosen! Now I can kill, rape, smuggle organs and steal Palestinians. Got it #AshkeNazi” is the caption behind a photo of a Jewish man.
Breitbart News points out:

While some anti-Israel members of the party expressed satisfaction with Walz’s selection, Harris and Walz were apparently not enough for activists who still believed they were not anti-Israel enough.

The “non-engagement” movement clearly sees an opportunity to achieve an arms embargo on Israel, an idea that Harris is also considering, as Michigan remains a key battleground state that could decide the outcome of the November election.
