Rapper Travis Scott was arrested Friday morning at a luxury hotel in Paris after a drunken altercation with a security guard and his own bodyguard.

The rapper, whose real name is Jacques Webster, was detained after a night out watching the U.S. Men’s Olympic Basketball match against Serbia.
“We can confirm that on August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel to arrest the rapper, nicknamed Travis Scott, for allegedly assaulting a security guard,” the Paris prosecutor’s office said in a statement. “The security guards intervened and separated the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris prosecutor’s office has referred the case to the 1st precinct of the judicial police.”
According to reports, during his stay, the paparazzi continued to follow the rapper around the city, leading to a clash with one of his bodyguards.
“They were screaming at each other, which caused panic in the hotel and led to them calling the police,” the source claims. New York Post.
Sources said a paparazzi was looking in the trunk of Scott’s car, which upset him and led to a confrontation with a security guard whose job it was to keep reporters away.
“He was not immediately available for questioning so he was placed in solitary confinement where he was still sober,” the source said. The Parisiana local French news media.
“We are in direct contact with local authorities in Paris to quickly resolve this issue and will provide an update in due course,” a Scott representative said.
