Harris’ running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.), will launch his first solo fundraising push this week, a Harris-Walz campaign official first confirmed to The Hill.
Walz will begin a five-state tour on Tuesday with a visit to Newport Beach, California.
He will then visit Denver and Boston on Wednesday before traveling to Newport, Rhode Island, and Southampton, New York, on Thursday, a campaign official told The Hill.
He’s scheduled to headline his first solo campaign event at the labor union AFSCME’s convention in Los Angeles on Tuesday before heading to Newport Beach for a fundraiser.
Walz’s solo trip came on the heels of a tour of battleground states with Harris, which included events in Michigan and Wisconsin.
Ahead of Walz’s solo visit to Harris’ home state of California, Harris hosted a fundraiser in San Francisco on Sunday with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), which raised more than $12 million.
The Harris campaign raised $36 million within 24 hours of announcing Waltz as her running mate.
