Two immigrants are accused of violently raping a woman in Coney Island on Sunday.
Police said the incident happened outside a hotel housing immigrants on Surf Avenue and 16th Street, where the victim was raped at knifepoint. New York Post Reported Monday.
Law enforcement sources said the two suspects are also accused of punching the woman’s boyfriend when he tried to stop them, and that he refused medical treatment at the scene.

According to sources, the suspect, David Davon Bonilla, a 24-year-old Nicaraguan immigrant, allegedly grabbed the 46-year-old woman, threw her to the ground, held a knife to her throat and raped her.
The second migrant, identified as Mexican immigrant Leovando Moreno, 37, was arrested after he allegedly struck the woman’s 34-year-old boyfriend with an object when he tried to stop the vicious assault, officials said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. Following the incident, Davon Bonilla was reportedly charged with first-degree rape, second-degree assault, first-degree sexual abuse, criminal intimidation and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Moreno has reportedly been charged with second-degree assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.
It’s notable that President Joe Biden’s massive immigration surge has led to an increase in crime in New York City, a trend that NPR has acknowledged, Breitbart News reported on May 10.
According to the outlet, low-income New York City residents are frustrated that Mayor Eric Adams (Democrat) has placed most of the city’s migrant shelters in their neighborhoods, a move that drains resources that could be used to help Americans in need.

Locals complain that this is unfair, as 12 percent of the city’s migrant shelters are concentrated in just one district.
“The city dropped a bomb on us,” said Danny Beauford, a resident of Queensbridge Houses public housing in Long Island City. [migrants] “They are occupying it.
