The White House’s acknowledgement that there is “no divide” between President Biden and Vice President Harris on policy issues was seen by some X users on Monday as signaling the end of the Harris campaign.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, at the latest press briefing, emphasized to reporters how “aligned” Biden and Harris have been throughout Biden’s term and how the vice president has “played a vital role” in all the president’s accomplishments.
“[Harris is] “She’s going to present her vision, but again, they’ve been aligned for the last three and a half years. Nothing’s set in stone yet,” Jean-Pierre said.
The response drew immediate mockery on social media, with many predicting the video would appear in a future ad for former President Trump.

Podcast host Siraj Hashmi commented, “If I were Trump, I would run this ad every day from now until Election Day, reminding the American people that the misery they’re experiencing under a Biden administration will continue and probably get even worse under a Kamala administration.”
Daily Caller reporter Mary Luke wrote, “KJP has admitted there’s no difference between Biden-Harris and Harris-Waltz. This should scare every parent currently battling inflation. She’s responsible for policies that have hurt Americans economically over the last three years and will make them even worse over the next four.”
“This is officially a ‘four more years’ campaign. Even the White House itself has acknowledged that,” said Dan McLaughlin, a senior reporter at National Review.
“You can bet this will appear in Trump campaign ads this fall. They’ll call it ‘No Daylight,'” ABC News contributor Sarah Isgur wrote.
“And … Kamala has tried hard to distance herself from the failures of the last three years as border secretary,” Republican spokesman Matt Whitlock joked.
Ben Williamson, a former White House communications adviser to Trump, joked, “CC: To the political press that continues to portray Kamala Harris as the new outsider away from Joe Biden. Stop doing that!”
“I’m excited to be back,” said Spectator contributing editor Stephen Miller.
Trump camp thanks White House for acknowledging ‘no divide’ between Harris and Biden: ‘Kamala created this mess’
Carolyn Leavitt, national spokesperson for the Trump campaign, commented in a statement from her X account, thanking Jean-Pierre.
“Thanks for checking, @PressSec. There is no ‘gap’ between Kamala and Joe! Kamala is responsible for the border crisis. Kamala is responsible for inflation. Kamala is responsible for the last 4 years of war, chaos and crime,” Leavitt wrote.

In exclusive comments to Fox News Digital, Leavitt added, “Today, the Biden Administration acknowledged a fact that Kamala Harris refuses to acknowledge: There is no divide between Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. Kamala is responsible for the illegal immigration crisis that continues to rage on our southern border. She is also responsible for the inflation crisis that has put food, rent and gas out of control.”
She added: “Selecting Kamala is like hiring a thief who robbed our house to put new locks on our doors. Kamala created this mess and she has no ability to clean it up.”
