Barstool founder Dave Portnoy has planted his flag on Caitlin Clark Island for years and is now investing money there.
Portnoy announced her latest bet Sunday, placing a $100,000 bet at DraftKings Sportsbook on 100-to-1 odds that the Indiana Fever would win the WNBA championship and win $10 million.
“Caitlin Clark is a top three player in the league, maybe the best.” Portnoy said in a tweet along with a screenshot of the betting slip.“She’s had her first rest day in a year. Her chemistry with Aileah Boston is getting better with every game. They started 1-8 and have improved since then to 10-7. I had to do it.”
The Fever enter the second half of the season with an 11-15 record, good for seventh in the league.
They are 6.5 games behind the No. 4 seed but just 0.5 games behind the No. 6 seed.
But as Portnoy points out, Indiana overcame a season-defining 1-8 start and was playing much-improved basketball before the pause.

The WNBA trade deadline is rapidly approaching, and those odds will likely go up or down depending on Boston and their decision to acquire the talent around Clark.
Clark overcame a shaky early period and got back on track.
She is averaging 17.1 points, 8.2 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game.
Portnoy enjoys betting on the future throughout various sports seasons and has recently enjoyed being one of the hottest bettors on the planet, winning $5.4 million during Masters week in April, including multiple wins backing Scottie Scheffler.
This isn’t the first time he’s bet on Clark, as he previously bet $25,000 on Clark and the Fever to win their WNBA debut and lost.
Portnoy has also been a fan of Clarke’s since her college days and recently slammed the Olympic Committee for removing her from the national team.
