Joe Biden Repeats Charlottesville ‘Very Fine People’ Hoax, Again

President Joe Biden on Tuesday reiterated the “very fine people” fiction, falsely claiming that then-President Donald Trump had praised the Charlottesville neo-Nazis in 2017 as “very fine people” when in fact Biden had “totally” condemned them.

Biden repeated the hoax by posting a video of an interview with CBS News last weekend. Sunday MorningBreitbart News also reported this as a repeat of the hoax.

Biden has no interest in this hoax being exposed.

Biden barely remembered the name of Heather Heyer, the woman killed in Charlottesville, but later claimed that Trump was an ally of the Ku Klux Klan, allowing the group to operate openly without wearing hoods.

Breitbart News confronted Biden about the hoax five years ago, when Biden falsely claimed that Trump had never condemned neo-Nazis.

The record of what Trump actually said is undeniable, yet Biden continues to repeat the falsehood.

The liberal fact-checker Snopes.com has also denied the rumor, but Biden continues to repeat it.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has also repeated this lie, despite it being exposed face-to-face in 2020.

The hoax is perhaps the most divisive lie in American politics today, stoking hatred and fear of Trump among the left and contributing to the president’s near assassination by a gunman at a rally last month.
