The Biden-Harris Administration’s policies are putting the American people at risk.

Papa Diop, a 38-year-old immigrant from Senegal, was arrested and charged with rape after allegedly raping a woman in the South Bronx.

He was released to the US by the Biden-Harris administration. Homeland Security officials claimed the reason for the release was a lack of detention space, but the truth is that there were between 7,000 and 13,000 detention beds available at the time.

Breitbart reported:

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a Senegalese migrant into the United States from the southern border despite having detention space available to hold him. The migrant is now facing charges for raping a woman in New York City.

According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), Senegalese immigrant Papa Diop (38) was arrested and charged with first-degree rape after he allegedly followed a woman in the South Bronx, asked her for directions, then pinned her down on a park bench and raped her.

Diop was reportedly released onto U.S. soil shortly after illegally crossing the southern border near Yuma, Arizona, in May 2023. A Department of Homeland Security official claimed to the New York Post that Diop was released due to a lack of detention space.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention data collected by Syracuse University’s Trade Records Access Information Center (TRAC) tells a different story.

The month Diop was arrested near the southern border, ICE had between 7,000 and 13,000 available detention beds.

His arrest came the day before another immigrant was accused of raping a homeless woman.

The New York Post reported:

The day before his arrest, another immigrant was accused of raping a homeless woman at knifepoint under the Coney Island boardwalk, and an alleged accomplice beat the woman’s boyfriend with a pipe when he tried to intervene, according to police and prosecutors.

Daniel Davon Bonilla, 24, who was ordered held without bail Monday night, is accused of strangling a woman and forcing a “sharp object” down her throat beneath the Riegelman Boardwalk, according to Brooklyn prosecutors.

Nicaraguan migrant Davon Bonilla had already served a year in prison last year for sexually assaulting another woman at a migrant hotel and was only released on June 24.

An alleged accomplice, Mexican immigrant Leovando Moreno, 37, was charged with assault for allegedly hitting the boyfriend of Sunday’s rape victim in the back with a pipe.
