Democrats Spotlight DACA Illegal Aliens at DNC: ‘We Need’ Kamala Harris

Democrats pushed for amnesty at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Wednesday night, focusing on undocumented immigrants enrolled in former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Four DACA recipients were featured at the Democratic National Convention, including one who is currently a practicing lawyer. DACA recipients said the U.S. needs Vice President Kamala Harris as president, who would make passing amnesty for illegal immigrants a priority in Congress.

“It’s disheartening to know that the courts may end DACA next year and to hear Donald Trump calling for mass deportations,” one DACA recipient said.

“Now is the time to recognize DREAMers for who we are – contributors to this great country,” said another DACA recipient, while another said, “I support Vice President Harris as she continues to fight for DACA recipients.”

“We need a future President Harris so that DREAMers like me can continue to work and provide for ourselves, our communities and our families,” said one DACA recipient.

Harris said earlier this month that she supports amnesty for between 11 million and 22 million illegal immigrants in the country through so-called “comprehensive reform.”

Such an amnesty would instantly fill the U.S. workforce with millions of newly legal foreign workers, with working- and middle-class Americans having to compete with them.
