Dem lawmakers’ voting records with Biden-Harris in spotlight ahead of tight races

First appearance on FOXEight Democrats who are vulnerable in tight races have been criticized for their strikingly similar voting records to those of President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Sens. Bob Casey (D-PA), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Jon Tester (D-MT), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Martin Heinrich (D-MN), as well as Reps. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) and Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), are all targets in the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s (NRSC) latest round of ads.

Various videos show Harris discussing the pressure Americans are feeling from rising prices at a recent campaign rally in North Carolina, where she also unveiled her economic policy plans.

“The bills just keep piling up: food, rent, gas, back-to-school clothes, prescription drugs,” she tells the crowd in the new ad.

The videos, each featuring a different Democrat and criticising their disproportionately high vote share alongside Biden and Harris, are part of a series of videos purchased for five-figure sums and will be released across digital platforms.

In the 117th Congress, members voted for the administration more than 91% of the time. Five Thirty Eight.

The NRSC ad shows Harris touting “Bidennomics” in another video, further reminding viewers of her current role as vice president in the Biden administration.

“Senate Democrats have teamed up with Kamala Harris and Joe Biden to jump-start the U.S. economy with a massive spending bill that will skyrocket inflation. By endorsing Harris-Biden’s policies, they will not be able to hide their record of making daily life unaffordable for people across America,” NRSC spokesman Philip Letsow said in a statement.

Democrats are at a disadvantage in the 2024 Senate elections because several incumbents are facing tough battleground and Republican-held states, while Republicans are likely to win all of their incumbent reelection races.

According to the nonpartisan political handicapper, there are three “close” races. Cook Political ReportThese include races in Michigan, Ohio and Montana, which are currently held by Democrats. Races in Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin and Arizona are rated “Democrat-friendly” and are currently held by senators from the Democratic caucus.

Although the NRSC ran ads against Heinrich during the buyout, the New Mexico Senate race is still considered “Democrat-dominated.”

The new ad comes as Harris’ campaign appears to signal a separation between the vice president and the Biden administration, even though she has worked alongside Biden throughout.

The attacks on Biden and Harris over their voting records and on the weak Democratic Party over the economy also follow the recent unveiling of Harris’ controversial economic plan, which includes price controls.
