CHICAGO — Former President Donald Trump has signaled his intention to end his feud with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican who he has attacked sporadically in recent weeks.
“I just saw Brian being interviewed by Sean Hannity and he was very personable and said he wants Trump to win and he’s going to work with me 100 percent,” Trump told Fox News.
“I think I’d have a very good relationship with Brian Kemp,” he added, before moving on to discuss independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
President Trump slammed Governor Kemp at a rally in Atlanta earlier this month, saying, “He’s a bad guy. He’s a dishonest guy. And he’s a regular governor.”
“Little Brian, Little Brian Kemp. Bad guy,” Trump added at the rally, raising eyebrows from onlookers given the importance of Georgia to his election victory.
Kemp was full of praise for Trump during an appearance on Sean Hannity’s show.
