The Port of Seattle said Saturday it was dealing with an “internet and web systems outage.”
The international airport said in a statement that the outage was caused by a “potential cyber attack” at the Port of Seattle.
“Early this morning, the Port of Seattle experienced a systems outage indicating a possible cyber attack,” officials said. “The port has isolated critical systems and is working to restore full service.”
As of 8 p.m. Saturday, 247 flights were delayed and six canceled, according to reports.
The airport also said it had no estimate as to when it would be able to return to full operating capacity, but was working with authorities and partners to help those affected by the outage.
“We are working closely with authorities and partners to assist travelers who may be affected. If you’re traveling today, please check with our partner airline for travel advisories and allow extra time to get to Seattle Airport and your gate,” the airport said. “For a smoother airport experience, be sure to get your mobile boarding pass and checked bags for your flight through your airline’s app before you arrive at Seattle Airport.”
