Tuesday marks 10 weeks until Election Day on Nov. 5.
And former President Trump is now working at full speed to slow down Vice President Harris, who is riding a wave of energy and enthusiasm at last week's Democratic National Convention.
Mr. Trump will campaign this week in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, three of seven swing states likely to decide the outcome of the 2024 presidential election. His running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, is returning to Michigan.
As part of his counter-terrorism efforts at the Democratic convention in Chicago last week, Trump made stops in five key battleground states, with Vance crisscrossing the campaign trail.

The vice president and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, are beginning a two-day bus tour this week in Georgia, a key southeastern battleground state.
Repeated traffic jams during election campaigns are expected to continue until Election Day.

However, there are several important events over the next month that could affect the outcome of the election.
Harris interview?
Trump, Vance, their campaigns and allied Republicans have repeatedly criticized Harris for not holding a press conference or giving interviews since replacing President Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee for 2024 more than five weeks ago.

“She can't answer the question,” Trump said Monday while answering reporters' questions during a visit in northern Virginia. “Why isn't she doing what I'm doing right now?”
Attention will now be focused on whether Harris will follow through on her promise to give interviews to national news media by the end of the month.
Funding battle
With only a few days left in August, we look forward to the release of the latest fundraising figures for the Trump and Harris campaigns at the end of the month.
Biden had a fundraising lead over Trump earlier this year, but the former president saw his fundraising surge in late spring and early summer.
But after Biden made a major push to block his reelection and Harris replaced him as the Democratic Party's standard-bearer, fundraising for the campaign and the party soared, with Harris outraising Trump in fundraising during July.

The campaign could release its August figures as early as Sept. 1, but fundraising, along with opinion polls, is a key indicator and will be closely watched and scrutinized.
Clash of Debates
The first, and likely only, presidential debate between Harris and Trump is scheduled for September 10 in Philadelphia. But Trump on Monday questioned whether he would take part in the debate, which will be hosted by ABC News, accusing the network of being “biased.”

If this showdown indeed happens, it will be the most crucial night of the 2024 presidential election and could bring about change or transformation in the current margin of error contest between the vice president and the former president.
For evidence, look no further than Biden and Trump's disastrous debate in late June, where the president's dismal performance stoked questions about whether the 81-year-old president had the mental and physical stamina to survive another four years in the White House and prompted calls from within Biden's own party for him to drop out of the race.
Less than a month after the Atlanta clashes, the president dropped out of the race.
Early voting
There are 70 days until Election Day, but some voters will start casting their ballots next month.
In the battleground state of North Carolina, mail-in voting begins on September 6. Early voting in two other key battleground states, Pennsylvania, begins on September 16, and Michigan, begins on September 26.
