Kamala Harris Doing ‘Nowhere Near’ as Well as Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton at This Point

Fox News commentator Karl Rove said on “America's Newsroom” on Tuesday that Vice President Kamala Harris has a lower approval rating than Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton at this stage of the presidential election.

“One other thing about the polls, I want to talk a little bit about that if I can, because I think we need to put this in perspective,” Rove said. “On this day in 2020, Joe Biden was leading Donald Trump by 7.1% in the RealClearPolitics average. And at this point in 2016, Hillary Clinton was leading by 6.3%. And as you remember, the election was decided by a handful of votes in a handful of states. And today, in the RealClearPolitics average, Harris is leading Trump by 1.5% in the RCP average and by 3.5% in the 538.com average.”

He added: “So she's leading in both averages, but nowhere near where Biden and Clinton were leading by both. And, you know, there are three states where Clinton lost and Biden won by 42,000 votes. And to make it even more complicated, we're talking about national numbers, and there are eight or 10 polls that compile averages, but where are she and Biden in the battleground states, the six or seven battleground states? Not even close. There are some polls in some states, but certainly not six, seven, eight polls that would give you an average and give you a better idea of what's really going on.”
